Contactless Coating thickness measurement with Coatmaster Flex
With the Coatmaster Flex, KAISER now measures layer thicknesses wirelessly — even before curing. Real-time data directly to the cloud.
One of the most important quality parameters in surface technology is the layer thickness of the coating. For this reason, KAISER is taking the next step: in addition to the proven magnetic induction measuring method using a probe, we are now also using a non-contact measuring system.
Advanced Thermal Optics
The Coatmaster Flex measuring device operates according to the Advanced Thermal Optics (ATO) principle, enabling us to perform a completely non-contact coating thickness measurement.
The advantages at a glance
- Contactless measurement - no inaccuracies due to handling
- Measurement also possible before stoving — with wet paints (e-coating) and powder coatings
- Smallest measuring point: 2 mm — on all geometries
- Real-time data acquisition via internal WLAN
- Cloud-based evaluation and documentation available at any time
- Material and time savings through early process monitoring
A step towards quality
With the Coatmaster Flex, we have taken another step in the right direction – in terms of our quality standards, our efficiency, and our resource conservation.
