KTL Coating
Deeply effective corrosion protection for complex components. The e-coat coating reaches every cavity and every edge — evenly, precisely, permanently. Our core business for over 50 years.
- 15-60 µm layer thickness precisely controllable according to requirements
- Up to 720 h salt spray test according to DIN EN ISO 9227
- Steel, Aluminium, Cast iron all common metals
Lack, der dem Bauteil meets.
In cathodic electrocoating, the component is immersed in a bath of water-soluble epoxy resin. By applying a direct voltage, the paint is deposited electrochemically – evenly, precisely and deep into every cavity.
Unlike classic spray methods, the coating is thicker where the paint is thinnest. E-coating is therefore ideal for complex geometries.
After the dip coating bath, the component is baked in a convection oven at 180-200 °C. This cross-links the lacquer into a closed, organically resistant film.
The layer thicknesses range from 12 to 50 µm – depending on the requirements. E-coating is suitable both as a standalone coating and as a primer for subsequent powder coating or wet painting.
